Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety disorder sufferers often experience phobias, obsessions and panic attacks which are frightening, intrusive and seem unavoidable. The symptoms, sensations and thoughts they experience, whilst created as part of the self-preservation system that has developed to assist us when confronted with real danger, are false as anxiety disorder sufferers present these symptoms even when no real threat exists.
Anxiety disorders are formed and perpetuated in a small structure within the brain called the Amygdala.

The Amygdala behaves rather like a central heating thermostat but instead of controlling heat output, the Amygdala controls the level of anxiety we experience in order to prepare us when confronted by danger.
Of course, in anxiety disorder, no true threat exists, we simply experience the sensations of anxiety. The brain does not differentiate between true threat and false threat and reacts with yet more anxiety. This vicious cycle is very hard to break without knowledge of correct, structured anxiety elimination techniques, which undermine and eliminate the disorder.
Because the Amygdala is inaccessible and does not respond to drug therapy or psychotherapy directly, these conventional therapies are unsuccessful. The Amygdala only responds to behaviors and emotion, therefore it is these that must be addressed in order to permanently eliminate anxiety disorders.

The most common anxiety disorders are General Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. Although conventional medicine lists the other three anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD and Phobias as separate anxiety disorders, these are symptoms of anxiety disorder rather than separate conditions; why? Because none of these anxiety disorders can exist without underlying anxiety.
FACT: The term 'anxiety disorder' is actually incorrect; 'disorder' implies illness and anxiety disorders certainly aren't illnesses, they are behavioral conditions.
Anxiety disorder arises because of an alteration in the way a small organ in the brain (the Amygdala), responsible for the anxiety reaction, becomes re-set at a higher 'benchmark' level due to external stressors such as work pressure, bereavement or abuse for example.
When we become stressed and our bodies and minds become inappropriately anxious for extended periods, our 'pre-set' anxiety level can become adjusted to a high anxiety level causing all of the symptoms common to anxiety disorder.
The body and mind continue operating at this new level of anxiety because they both believe that this new level is correct, even though we know consciously that 'something is wrong!' This is commonly referred to as anxiety disorder.
