Derealisation & Depersonalisation Recovery
Derealisation and depersonalisation are normal, necessary and expected features of an anxiety disorder.View More Reviews
People with Depersonalisation and Derealisation are often told that they are a separate disorder outside of all other anxiety disorders; but they are not. They are both a very necessary element of the flight or fight response.
Depersonalisation and Derealisation are often associated with dissociative disorders and psychosis, but they are in no way associated with those conditions.
The way sufferers describe their DP and DR varies from 'brain fog' to 'extreme dissociation'. Regardless of how they manifest in you, their source is the same in every human... and so is their removal.
Neurologically, Depersonalisation and Derealisation are generated by the fear response in order to focus the mind on an actual risk. They are not 'illness', any more than dizziness is illness after you have spun around. They are generated naturally and appropriately during the fear response.
People who activate anxiety disorders due to substance abuse, alcohol, cannabis, LSD etc. often believe and are also often told, that these substances have changed brain processes and that Depersonalisation and Derealisation are a result of those changes. This is not true.
Substances do not cause DP and DR, anxiety is the cause. In some cases, people say that they don't always feel anxious, but as DP and DR are activated by the fear response... they must have some level of anxiety in order to activate them.
Depersonalisation and Derealisation are not permanent. They are not 'disorders'. They are not mental illness.
Depersonalisation and Derealisation are features of the emotion of fear and when anxiety disorder is eliminated, they deactivate.
Within our materials you will find a video which tells you exactly what to do to deactivate derealisation and depersonalisation and to return to normal, appropriate fear responses.
"My DP and DR were constant for over 7 years...
...They became my obsession. I felt that if I could get rid of them, my anxiety would go. I never understood that my wish was impossible and that DP and DR are a symptom of anxiety; I needed to remove the anxiety in order for them to go. 3 days... that's how long it took from joining TLM to removing my DP and DR completely. Honestly, I woke up day three and they were gone. It's now 14 months later and I have never experienced anxiety, health anxiety, obsessive thoughts, panic attacks, DP or DR since." Denise Lowe.
